This is the character creation template. PLEASE follow this template if you wish to create a character on this site. I want the characters to have a sense of continuity and by using your own, it changes that. So please use the template listed below. It is very descriptive and allows us to understand your character so much better. Upon the character being finished, a staff member will grade it. If it is up to standard, it will be accepted and moved to the accepted characters board. If you have any questions when creating your character, please feel free to ask. NOTE: If you want to take up a position inside either St. Obarac's Boarding School or St. Obarac's University, please PM me first so I know. All of these positions MUST be approved by me or another Administrator.
Character Information
Name: Obviously, this is just your characters name. All people need a name. Having trouble with a name? Go to a search engine, and look up a name generator. Include any nicknames in here.
Age: If you are living you have an age. It cant be some obscenely age like 9,023,892,028 years old. But you can decide to be a newborn baby. I'm not sure how much fun you could have as a newborn, but its still possible.
Gender: Male, Female, or mix. Mix is obviously a Transgender. But those three genders are all you can choose for your character.
Sexual Orientation: Straight, Gay/Lesbian, or Bisexual. You can also list unknown next to the orientation so that way it can develop, but you must choose one anyway. Depending on actions in RP though, you could change it.
Species: As this is a Furry site, you are an animal. Therefore list your species here. Dog, Cat, Whale, Raccoon, etc. Be as specific as you want (For instance, saying Dog – German Shepherd), but if not specific enough, I may ask for a more specific response.
Job: Note, this is for 16 year olds and older. If you have a job, tell us what it is.
School Grade: This is for people enrolled in St. Obarac's Boarding School. What is your grade in the school? Keep it somewhat realistic with your age. A 10 year old who is a Senior in school is not going to be accepted. As there is also St. Obarac’s University close-by, if you are going to the college, list what grade you are in college.
College Major/Minor: If you finished school elsewhere or at St. Obarac’s Boarding School, you now can attend St. Obarac’s University. If you are there, please state what the major and/or minor is in the school. You can also Put “Undecided” if you wish as well. NOTE: Just because the board isn't there doesn't mean you can't choose it. When you are accepted, the board will be made.
Character Description
Picture (optional): This is just where you will post a LINK to a picture of your character. But just because you post a picture does not mean that you get out of typing up the description. If you don’t have a picture, just put “N/A”
Appearance (Natural): The Natural Appearance Section is for you to describe the character’s appearance while they are in a Natural state, otherwise known as Naked. It is in this section that you put down the hair style, hair color, eye color, skin/fur/scale color, height, weight, tattoos, piercings, etc. If you want to detail more... sensitive areas, feel free to do so as well.
Appearance (Normal): The Normal Appearance Section describes what the person is usually seen wearing, or at least a style that they wear. (T-Shirt and Jeans, or skirt and blouse?) Try to be descriptive in this. Don't describe their skin, hair, or body build here. Just describe their clothes that they wear everyday around school and/or town.
Appearance (Other) [Optional]: The Other Appearance Section describes any other style of clothing. For instance, if they go swimming, what do they wear? If they have a job, do they have a uniform to wear? Do they wear something else around their dorm rooms when not in school? Anything special that they wear for Formal occasions? What do they wear for bed? You can also list what other clothes they do have for other situations as backups. You could also just get rid of this section if you wish. This section is optional
Personality: The Personality section is to describe just how your character acts in different situations. For instance, how do they act around teachers? Friends? Strangers? Enemies? Family? Roommates? Are they really self-conscious? (Such as if they are really self conscious, they won’t be willing to show off their body or will stay in their own shell. If they aren’t self-conscious at all, they can be seen with nothing on at several occasions and absolutely love being around people.) Are they Athletic, intelligent, a little of both? Don’t be shy here in describing things? This should be a somewhat lengthy area as we don’t know your character… Only you do. If you need help, don’t hesitate to ask.
Character History
Family History: This is just a brief description of family members that could play a key part to your character. Parents, siblings, grandparents, aunts, uncles, etc. It doesn't have to be much here.
Medical History [Optional]: This is where you list any medical problems your character has or is consistent in your characters families. Low blood pressure, high cholesterol, colorblindness, etc. It doesn't have to be too descriptive. This section is optional, so its up to you to include it.
Personal History: This is your character's personal history. This goes from birth to present. The older you are, the longer this needs to be. Obviously if you played a newborn baby, you don’t have much history. But if you are 70 years old, then a lot has happened to you. I don’t anticipate too many people playing characters that old or young as most will probably stick to the school ages, but still… Gotta throw the idea out there. This is probably going to be the longest part of the character. Just be descriptive and remember your age. If you are having trouble, then think about any family problems that might have happened (parent dying), personal trauma your character had (pets continually running away. Or think of achievements (Winning an award or sport event). If you are still having trouble, ask for help.
Character Life
Likes: Everyone has things that they like more then others and this is where you list them. It doesn't matter how many you list here, but I ask for at least 3.
Dislikes: Just as everyone who has things they like more then others, they also have things they dislike more then others. Same with Likes, please at least include 3.
Fears: Every person has a fear, whether they know it or not. List their fears here, and remember to stick with it. If your character is afraid of the dark, don't have them consistently in dark rooms without being afraid.
Aspirations: Aspirations are things your character wants. Do they want a high paying job, a family, a loving spouse, or do they want to live their life alone with an dog and plants? The choice is yours, but by listing it here, it can help you stick to it. And if things change, remember to change this in your profile as well.
Other Information
Other: This is where you put ANY other information not listed in the categories above. This can be as long, or as short as you would like. You don't even have to put anything in here if you don't like to.
Password: Hidden in the rules is a specific password. Find the password, and put it here. Without the password, your character will NOT be accepted. Note, it may not jump out at you, so please read the rules. By putting the password here, you have shown that you have read the rules and are now bound to them. This means that after you have put it here, if you break the rules, the excuse of “I didn’t know” no longer applies as you have posted the password here.
Change History: You are allowed, at anytime, to edit your character in anyway, with the exception of a full character re-do (If you choose to do this, you need to resubmit your character). However, when you edit the character, list the date and the change here as well as make another post in your characters thread stating the change made. At the start, just put "N/A". You do not have to list the changes made while still pending acceptance of the character.
Below is the coding for the Character Template. Please copy and paste it into your thread to create your character.
